PLANES

Belfast City Airport - there is a regular service between Belfast City (George Best) Airport and London Heathrow with ba and Aer Lingus. flybe also fly into Belfast City from London City, Birmingham, Exeter, Southampton, Edinburgh and Inverness.

Belfast International Airport - easyjet fly to Belfast International Airport from London Gatwick and London Luton. Ryanair fly to Belfast International Airport from London Gatwick.

Should you choose to fly into Belfast City airport or Belfast International Airport, it is a 2 hours 40 minutes drive across to Portnoo.

Knock Airport - there are regular services to knock airport from the following airports; Birmingham (flybe), Bristol (Ryanair), London Gatwick (Aer Lingus), London Luton (Ryanair) and London Stansted (Ryanair). the drive from knock airport to Portnoo is 2 hours 30 minutes.

Carrickfinn (Donegal) Airport - there are two daily flights between Dublin and Carrickfin Airport. these flights are operated by Aer Lingus. it is possible to co-ordinate your flight times with your arrival from London. Carrickfin airport is situated approximately 45 minutes from Portnoo. 

 

BOATS

Please checkout Irish Ferries for those wishing to drive from England to Portnoo. The quickest route is from Holyhead to Dublin (circa 2 hours), the drive from Dublin to Portnoo by car is 4 hours.

AUTOMOBILES

To those of you not familiar with the republic of ireland, there are no postcodes for your sat nav! if either Portnoo or Narin are not recognised, head for Ardara (10 minutes away)

From Belfast City Airport - exit the airport and follow signs for the city centre. Keep your eyes peeled for the M1 westbound. follow the M1 westbound towards Dungannon, Ballygawley, Omagh, Newtonstewart. From Newtownstewart keep your eyes peeled for the turning on your left for Clady (if you blink you could miss it). From Clady head towards Ballybofey, when you reach Ballbofey take the right-hand turning towards Glenties. From Glenties head towards Narin (Portnoo) or Ardara.

Car hire is available at Belfast City Airport through Avis, Hertz, Europcar and Budget

From Belfast International Airport - exit the airport and follow signs for the M2 towards Toome /Londonderry. From londonderry follow signs for Letterkenny, once through Letterkenny follow signs for Fintown and Glenties. From Glenties head towards Narin (Portnoo) or Ardara.

Car hire is available at Belfast International Airport through Hertz and Avis.

From Londonderry (derry) Airport - follow signs for Letterkenny, once through Letterkenny follow signs for Fintown and Glenties. From Glenties head towards Narin (Portnoo) or Ardara.

Car hire is available at Londonderry (derry) Airport through Avis, Eeuropcar and Hertz.

From Carrickfinn (Donegal) Airport - from the airport take the R266 and R259 to the N56 (south) towards Dungloe and Lettermacaward. Keep your eyes peeled for Narin, Portnoo. it is a very small airport, don’t be afraid to double check your route prior to departure with the Airport staff if you are travelling by hire car!
